Un recorrido a través del Barrio

El motivo por el que esta zona de Budapest recibe el nombre de Barrio Judío, surgió en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, cuando el régimen nazi obligaba a vivir allí a los judíos. Fue entonces cuando éste colectivo se ubicó en la zona que comprende las calles Dohany, Karoly, Kiraly y Kertesz.

Caminando por las calles del Barrio Judío puedes hallar la Sinagoga Dohány, ésta es la segunda sinagoga más grande del mundo y se comenzó a construir en el año 1854. En el mismo tour puedes disfrutar de una visita guiada por el Museo Judío, con una colección de obras de arte húngaras, historias de como vivían y además una habitación que recuerda el holocausto.

Siguiendo el recorrido podrás ver lugares como el Cementerio de los Mártires, el parque Memorias con el panteón de Raoul Wallenberg y el Árbol de la Vida y el Templo de los Héroes. Los guías explican las historias tan bien, que te sentirás dentro de aquella época. Además, ellos son nativos de Budapest y el tour guiado en inglés.

Horario

La duración del tour de la Herencia Judía es de 2’5 horas.

Las fechas y horario para el tour guiado por el Barrio Judío son las siguientes:

Del 1 de mayo al 31 de octubre:

Lunes a viernes: las salidas del tour serán a las 10:00 horas y a las 14:00 horas.
Viernes y domingo: a las 10:00 horas.
Sábado: cerrado.

Del 2 al 30 de noviembre:

Lunes a domingo: la salida del tour será a las 10:00 horas.
Sábado: cerrado.

Los días festivos en Budapest no habrá tours guiados (1 de enero, 15 de marzo, 1,20 y 21 de mayo, 20 de agosto, 20 a 23 de octubre, 1 de noviembre y 24, 24, 25, 26 y 31 de diciembre).
